A visit to the Chippewa Indian Tribe in Mt Pleasant where I will try to get something really cool for my beloved katipl.

And NATURALLY a lil coastering along the way.

NO COMPUTER at all but I will possibly make a voice post occasionally and will for sure do one if I get a call about getting the job I WANT while I am away.

I'm leaving tomorrow and won't be back until the first so I'm turning to you guys for any help I can get to make peace with Mahone's Prison Break fate.

Every single tidbit that comes out only validates the rumor so I'm accept that part and move on to...


That in mind, even if you're not up on the rumors you can still ponder his paying beyond the ultimate price, give me a way to cope with Mahone being given a fate worse than death in the midst of hope for happily ever after for nearly every other character.

I know I'm not a happily ever after gal so I should be able to embrace this but giving him something that makes his own death seem merciful is hard to wrap my head around and love when he's likely to be the only one paying for his sins this season.

I know he has to pay but paying a higher price than even T Bag in the midst of so much hope all around is so unusually cruel I just can't get my head around a reason.

I've been following Biden, on his email list for ages, for many, MANY years.

He's not perfect but he's a straight shooter and I like that.

I've actually always liked Biden a lot but thought he was too outspoken and opinionated for the top or even second to the top job.

In case you missed it on the earlier entry Mark went out and bought a new screen door to replace the one a 100lbs of Elvis broke when he really wanted to play with a dog passing by.

THATS a great deal but go early cuz they will run out.

Mark officially started his summer vacation today. He's gonna kick it off by replacing the screen door Elvis broke the handle off. An excllent accountant Mark's not much of a handyman so this is gonna get ugly!

We leave for a cabin up north on Sunday. I will have little TV and NO computer access for more than a week.

Can you imagine how thats gonna go?
Got through two weeks of it in Disney once so I'll manage.
Got my notepad and pen ready so look for a good share of fan fic when I get back from this trip. Oh and I got my first Mad Men fic prompt to work on! YAY!!!

Got tons of laundry and stuff to do for vacation so I guess I better get myself moving.

Gonna be another week or two before I hear for sure but it looks REALLY GOOD!

I could pee myself with joy at the thought of making nearly twice the money I do now in only two days a week while NEVER having to worry about who'll take care of my children while I'm at work.

On top of that I'm excited about the job after seeing it in action today. Running a busy hectic desk while juggling all kind of balls in 10 different directions is something I know I can be really good at.

Big BUSY day!

Emma and Ryan are having another garage sale today, tomorrow and Sat. They were all ready to take all the stuff left to charity but there is so much left they decided to have a blow out sale. Everything they got left is gonna be 50 cents each and the made the signs that way. That will draw traffic around here. They'll both make a lil more spending money for vacation and thin the load to carry to the salvation army a bit.

My final hospital interview is at 1pm. YES!!
Think good employment thoughts for me.

Back much better but I don't think I like being pumped full of steroids much. It was very cool here last night and yet I woke at 3 soaked in sweat. I suppose it could be hot flashes? OLD!! But think its probably effects of the drugs as the doc said might cause some strange reactions for a couple days.

Last thought...
I need to go back and watch some of those early Prison Break eps where Michael keeps telling Linc its gonna work out ... be alright .... HAVE FAITH. Watch his face when Linc knew damn well he was letting himself in for a world of hurt and still followed. In the viewing of season four I guess Nick is Michael to my Lincoln. HE CAN'T SAY ANYTHING SOLID, never has and never will, but he used all that Michael stuff on me telling me I had to watch so I'm gonna follow no matter how much it'll likely hurt. I'm not gonna even ponder how all that faith that it will be okay has played out for Lincoln but you can feel free to remind me. He's a good friend who's always been straight with me so I'm gonna give it a shot.

On another note if I had poked you about seeing his movie coming out this week you can take that one off the table as he said, after seeing the final cut, its now nothing like what he wrote and crap so even he doesnt reccommend you see. UGH! First Vince now Nick? I so do not want to be a writer anymore.

Taking Em, Ry and a car full of teen girls to the beach today.

Didn't sleep last night. Doc said even if the steroid shots helped in the long run they'd likely make it hurt more in the short run. Said it might become painful 8 to 10 hours afte the injections. YEAH! Holy SHIT they were not kidding. I was up pacing the floor at 3:30 in misery even with the two vicodin. YEEESH!

I did eventually sleep some and woke in a lot less pain.

The pill bottle not the booze!

I haven't really said much about it because its been a minor annoyance after the spring stuff but I've been having a lot of back pain ever since my first surgery -- its no wonder after seeing that table they put you on and hearing my BIL talk of how rough it can be on you when they're tearing you open when you're out cold on what amounts to a cold stone slab -- and the doc finally ended up getting serious about this today.


After all kinds x rays and what have you they're calling it bursitis. They can call it whatever they want if they can MAKE IT STOP!

Now that we have a name we can treat accordingly?

That means I got my back shot up with steroids today and have been put back on Vicodin AGAIN because I was still in pain each day even after maxing out on both Tylenol and Motrin which of course is once again tearing my pathetic digestive track to shreds.

Vicious circle of old age :o(

On the upside, when I told the doc today I was worried I was overreacting about any lil pain after what happened earlier this year he said and I quote:

Considering your history I tend to believe its gonna is something to be concerned about if you actually become concerned enough to see a doctor.

Poor man will never get over the time I thought something *MIGHT* be wrong and it turned out to be brain swelling and bacteria meningitis.

The shots hurt like hell but Mark is picking up the pills on the way home so at least I'll be pain free in an hour or so.

Added since I'm hate being all negative.
My blood pressure was back down to a nice normal 120 over 80 AND I've only gained 3 pounds of the 27 I lost back since I started eatting again. YAY!!

I called my boss at the school and explained all that is going on in great detail. We discussed the various options and then got nowhere at all in the end.

Recap
Me: Explain.. explain. This could happen... if you need to do this... Explain, explain, explain.
Boss: Okay. So why don't you just plan on being at school on the 2nd and we'll play it by ear after that.
*headdesk*

He's clearly either in denial that I will OR thinks I won't get the other job so he's ignoring the possiblity and potential issue altogther.

Naturally, not an hour after that call ended the hospital called and scheduled my final interview for the new job to take place Thurs at 1pm.

What do you want to bet I get this job just when the other one starts back up and my boss ends up freaking out because he *would have done something about IF he knew (believed me!) all of this could happen.

Used my beloved Wheeler mood because Wheeler knows how to look annoyed with a crazy boss better than anyone.

I was up in the night and could barely get back to sleep at all because I was fretting over the need to call my boss today.

School starts two weeks from today so I need to call my boss about my old job in relation to my potential new job.

Got a call from my friend who works at the hospital last Thursday saying the hospital was going to hire me for sure and I could go ahead and give notice.

I can't really do that without official OFFICIAL word because I know how slowly the hospital moves on this stuff BUT I have to do something and do it today. GROAN!

After much debate and lack of better idea I'm actually pondering the truth.

Let him know I've been talking to these people and while its looking very good it may be a good while before I get any final word. I'm sure he'll freak but in the end I think I can state my point pretty clearly that there is no way I planned to have a huge tumor, surgery and all the misery just so I could meet hospital people who want to give me a job.

As much as he will freak I know in the end nearly every cook in the district will be interested in the brand new kitchen and someone else will want to move there if he asks.

SO... *heavy sigh* I'm gonna ask him to put me back to middle school where there is a big staff that will make my leaving easy to deal with WHEN and IF this other job comes though and put someone else into the brand new school.

OMG! That sucks! Typing it up like that just illustrates the suck.

An hour and half left before I can call and already I know this is gonna go badly :O(

Tagging anyone who wants to play and hasn't as yet cuz I think this one has just about made the rounds now.

Elvis had his three year check up at 9am this morn. Poor baby was so excited to be in the car UNTIL he figured where we were going.

Doc says he's healthy and looking good.
The fattening of aging Elvis has slowed too as he only went from 97 to an even 100lbs in the last year.

Laying around and recovering from the trauma - I'm pretty sure the cat is there to mock him about the trip - under the cut.

He's laying on my feet right now and has been since we got back so I guess I'm gonna have a big black canine shadow all day.

Mad Men was so good last night it threw me back in time to the days I used to sit there and go *WOW!* after a really fantastic ep of West Wing.

Shopping with Em was quick, easy and fairly cheap. YES!

I'm done with both kids school shopping in two days with only about $100 bucks each blown.
